Official Rules

  • Participants must use a board or other flat surface that can be declined and support their full body weight.
  • Incline the board about 15-20 degrees so that the feet are above the head.
  • Put a damp cloth over the face to keep the water clinging to the face (Khmer Rouge technique).
  • Pour water onto the inclined face so that the water runs into the upturned mouth and nose.
  • Keep the chest elevated above the head and neck to keep the lungs “above the waterline”.
  • Incline the head, both to keep the throat open and to present the nostrils for easier filling.
  • Force the mouth open so that water can be poured into both the nose and mouth.
  • The water must be poured continuously for the full 30 seconds and cover both the mouth and nasal passage.
  • All participants must state verbally in each video that they are over the age of 18 and that they are taking the “Hustle For Humanity 30 Second Waterboard Challenge”.
  • Participants may call out as many friends, colleagues, etc as they want and the time each individual called out has to respond is determined by the announcing participant.
  • All participants have read, understand, and agree to the legal disclaimer and participant waiver set forth below and displayed on the official video challenge.
  • $300 bounty subject to first 100 participants only that have shown video evidence of demonstrable compliance of all the above official rules and guidelines.

Hustle for Humanity is a nonpartisan organization. We do not concern ourselves with divisive labels such as “democrat” or “republican”, “liberal” or “conservative”. The individuals whom were called out as oppressors were chosen because of their openly public comments and positions on national television about these issues. Hustle for Humanity seeks only to enlighten and unite. To educate, not deceive or confuse the public as to whether or not this form of interrogation is legal or civilized. It is our position that this form of interrogation is clearly a human rights violation.

As stated by United States Founding Father, Thomas Paine: “ He that would make his own liberties secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.”
